Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask about the free yoga and breathwork library, the Vedic chart and palm reading, and the skin plan.
About Dtox
What is Dtox?
Dtox is a wellness app with three parts: a free library of 101 guided yoga, breathing and meditation practices; a Vedic astrology birth chart and palm reading; and a skin and lifestyle plan built from your own photo. It runs on iPhone and Android.
How much does Dtox cost?
The practice app is free in full — all 101 practices, all 7 programmes, your plan and your progress. Soul is a one-time $9. Glow is $5 a month. There is no trial that later bills you and no subscription for the yoga library.
Does Dtox track me or show ads?
No. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracking in the app. Nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing purposes.
How do I delete my Dtox account?
From Profile inside the app, or from the web at /delete-account without installing anything. Deletion is immediate and removes your account, practice history, readings, plans and check-ins together.
Is Dtox medical advice?
No. Dtox is general wellness content. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and readings are offered as traditional interpretation rather than prediction. Speak to a clinician about anything medical.
What languages and regions does Dtox support?
The app is in English and works worldwide. Charts are computed for any birthplace and time zone.
Practice
The centre of the app, and free in full. 101 guided yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditations, seven structured programmes, and a weekly plan built around the time you actually have.
Is the Dtox yoga app really free?
Yes. All 101 guided practices, all 7 programmes, Focus Mode, your personal plan and your progress history are free, in full, with no subscription and no trial that later bills you. The paid products are the Soul reading, a one-time $9, and Glow, $5 a month.
Is Dtox suitable for yoga beginners?
Yes. The library is labelled by level, the first programme is a seven-day beginner’s week, and every practice carries step-by-step instruction and an illustration. You do not need any prior yoga experience.
Do I need equipment for these yoga practices?
No. A mat is comfortable but not required, and nothing in the library needs blocks, straps or a class. Every practice is designed to be done in the space beside a bed.
Can I use Dtox offline?
Practice text, instructions and your plan are available offline once loaded. Practice videos and the Soul and Glow readings need a connection.
Soul
A sidereal birth chart computed from your exact time and place of birth — planets, houses, nakshatras, classical yogas and your Vimshottari dasha periods — plus a palm reading from a photograph, and a place to ask about your own placements.
Is the Dtox birth chart sidereal or tropical?
Sidereal, with the Lahiri ayanamsha and whole-sign houses — the standard for Vedic astrology (jyotish). Positions come from a published ephemeris, so the chart matches what any competent kundli calculation would give for the same birth data.
Does Dtox use AI to guess planetary positions?
No. The positions are computed from an ephemeris. A language model writes the interpretation from those positions; it never decides where a planet was. A 37-check verification suite runs against known charts before every deploy.
What do I need for a Vedic birth chart reading?
Your date of birth, your time of birth as precisely as you know it, and your place of birth. Birth time matters most — it sets the lagna, and an hour’s error moves it.
Is the palm reading accurate?
Palmistry is a traditional interpretive system, not a scientific one, and Dtox says so. Within that tradition the reading is careful: it reads what the photograph actually shows and declines to describe what it cannot see.
Is Soul a subscription?
No. Soul is a one-time $9 and it is yours permanently, including unlimited Sangam questions. There is no recurring charge.
Glow
A reading of what your skin is actually showing — shine, redness, texture and congestion by zone — and a four-week plan built around it, with 30 morning juice routines, movement drawn from the practice library, and daily tracking.
Does Dtox store my face photo?
No. The photo is sent for analysis, the text of the analysis is kept, and the image itself is discarded. There is no copy on our servers, no facial recognition, and no face template — ever.
Is Glow a medical or dermatology service?
No. Glow is general wellness content. It makes no medical claims, never names a skin condition, does not diagnose or treat anything, and refers you to a clinician where something is worth a professional eye.
How much does Glow cost?
Five dollars a month, cancelled any time from the App Store or Google Play. There is no trial that quietly starts billing you.
Are the juice recipes evidence-based?
Each one is graded honestly. Some have studies behind them, some are traditional, and some are simply good nutrition. Glow tells you which is which instead of implying all three are the same thing.
